10 Reasons to Follow Me on Instagram | @melanie_biehle

2015 Jealous Curator Creative UNBlock Project

1. See my art projects before they even start…or just enjoy 50 copies of my retired 10-year-old Converse sneakers.

Did I really just do that? 10 Reasons to…? I did. Whatever.

I’ve been growing even more obsessed with Instagram these days. I didn’t even know I could be any more obsessed, but here I am, totally addicted.

3. I often post artwork on Instagram way before I share it anywhere else. Sometimes I don’t even share it anywhere else.

I can’t remember how I first found out about this Instagram class taught by Hilary Rushford of Dean Street Society, but I’m glad that I did. Sometimes just listening to how others use the platform for their own specific types of business will give you a slew of new ideas for how to incorporate it into your own.

4. Lots of Seattle pride going on in my feed. Urban adventures are so much fun.

Instagram is my favorite social media tool, followed closeish by Pinterest. Obviously my professional world is all about creative visuals, so it makes sense for me.

5. The Adventure Club goes on a lot of picturesque family outings.

I love the stories you can tell, past and present. I love sharing glimpses of my everyday life, behind-the-scenes client work, travel stories, what inspires me, and different parts of the creative process of my art and photography.

Melanie Biehle Vision Board 2015

6. Let’s talk about vision boards and goals, okay? Let’s chat about the creative process with other creatives.

I love scrolling through the feeds of the creative people that I follow. I like that I can explore the entire world while having a cup of coffee.

7. Love inspiring interiors? I’ve got plenty of those on Instagram.

Since I closed comments on my Journal last year and I’m not on Twitter as much as I used to be, Instagram has become the primary place where I chat with my friends and meet fellow creatives. I feel like so many cool conversations can easily begin around an image and a caption.

I hope to see you over on Instagram! I’m there more often than here these days.

Have an awesome weekend! GO HAWKS! :)
