I love it when I have a chance to soften geometric shapes with flowy gouache or watercolor paint. Like much of my artwork this past summer, the relaxing blues in this pencil and gouache painting were inspired by my lifelong relationship with water. My hope is that this print brings a sense of calm to the room where it lives, and that it makes the people in it feel like part of nature is right there with them.
