Lately I’ve been immersing myself in all things art, pattern, and surface design. I’m building an art and surface pattern design library that is available for licensing, and I’ve started reaching out to select companies for commission work.

For the past month I’ve been working on abstract paintings for a two-month solo art show that I have coming up in June and July at Click! Design That Fits in West Seattle. It’s an amazing contemporary home and design store filled with cool work by local designers and then some. I’m continuing to explore and develop the mark making style that I discovered when I was working on my Nomads Collection earlier this year, and I’m kind of obsessed with this style right now.

As those of you who have “internet known” me for a while, you may understand some of how I feel when I look back on my work to see the progression to this point. I’ve struggled for a while in terms of how I truly want to spend my creative energy, and I feel like I’ve found it. It’s a good feeling.

Of course I still have some practical things to figure out. You know, like how to pay my rent in the meantime while I’m busy building my art and design empire.

No biggie :)

Have a great weekend! xoxo
