Surface Design with Copic Markers

Abstract Surface Design by Melanie Biehle, April 2016 | black, gray, pale blue | copic markers, micron pens | fashion, textile print design

I draw or paint every night while I watch TV. Sometimes I do a couple of pattern designs. Other times I’m working on abstract paintings for my upcoming solo show. And sometimes, I’m just working on shapes and lines that I’ll turn into a print design later. I recently discovered a new love for my art toolbox – Copic Markers. I have the gray sketch set that I linked to here and I also have a handful of other colors. I can see building quite a collection of these though. They’re great for working out design ideas on smooth marker-friendly sketchpads.

If you’re interested in licensing one of my designs for your fashion line or cosmetics packaging, send me an email. I can also work with you to come up with a unique design especially for you.
