Asia/Joanna Gwis – Kavka Design

I wish I can remember how I was first introduced to Kavka Design, but I have no idea. There’s a link in my Draft Blog Post folder on Springpad, but I didn’t write extra notes this time. Oh, brain! Asia (or Joanna) Gwis is a Polish graphic designer and illustrator, and I’m totally falling for her style.

Not surprisingly, Asia/Joanna has great taste. She introduced me to another source for awesome design, Little Studio. I love this Tipi print.

Pantone Color of the Year Social Media Icons

Recently I found these cool social media icons at The Academy that I’m going to use on my client’s blog, provided the new background that’s being designed fits with these. That’s right, I have a client that I’m doing some blogging/social media marketing/marketing consultant work for. I’ll fill you guys in on that once the blog is ready for launch!

After I downloaded these lovelies, I spent some time looking at this beautifully designed blog. The Academy is the blog child of Noisette Marketing, a small London-based communications agency specializing in marketing and pr for creative businesses. Follow the company’s founder Isa Maria and Noisette Academy on Twitter to see what they’re working on now!

Lucy Turner

I always check out my new Twitter followers. Last week I was followed by “London’s only department store devoted to selling antique, vintage, retro, industrial and upcycled furniture,” The Old Cinema. I visited their website and learned about furniture designer Lucy Turner. I am in love with her stuff!

These two items are actually for sale in the Upcycled section of The Old Cinema. WANT!

After I finished drooling over Lucy’s work there, I headed over to her website and found more things to love.

The Rock Hudson Blog

Swoon.

I love Rock Hudson, but I think this person loves him even more than I do! Even though I once had a very bad, but ultimately awesome life-changing experience involving a boxed set of Rock Hudson/Doris Day romantic comedies, I never stopped loving those 60s films with Rock as the leading man.

This blog is a celebration of all things Rock, including a showcase of Rock Hudson trading cards. Who knew?!

If you’re a fan and you’re on Pinterest, you can follow my Rock board. :)
