I currently create textile print designs for the apparel and interiors market for hunt+gather print design studio. I also sell some of my designs directly to buyers under Melanie Biehle Art + Design on Patternbank.

Please email me at melanie@melaniebiehle.com to learn about designs that I have in my private library that are available for purchase or licensing. You can also hire me to work with you to create custom artwork and designs for your apparel, home decor, paper goods, branding, etc. that are the perfect fit for your target market.

I can approach the commission in a couple of ways. We can use any of my paintings or designs that you like as a starting point for your custom artwork. For those of you who have a more complete idea of what you want your piece to look like, we can work together from your idea/notes/sketch.

Email me at melanie@melaniebiehle.com to get started! Let me know what type of art you’d like to purchase (e.g., abstract cityscape or a more “flowy” type of abstract) and what it will be used for (e.g., a painting for your home, a painting for your interior design client, artwork for your clothing or home goods line, a gift for someone…). Tell me if you have an idea of what colors you’d like, or what you’d like the main color to be – also let me know if there is a certain color you’d like me to avoid! Include an estimate of how large you want the painting to be. And lastly, point me to a couple of examples of my work that you really like so I can have an idea about the style of art that you’re looking to own.

Once I learn more about the artwork you need – the size and how you’re going to use it – I will give you a price quote. If you’re looking for a large piece, I will optimize shipping costs by using an easy to ship and reassemble collapsible stretched canvas or shipping an unstretched canvas rolled in a tube that you can have stretched by your local art or frame shop.

After we have agreed on budget and scope of work, I will create a mood board based on the artwork that I think you’d love based on our discussions. I use this tool to explore artistic styles, emotion, and color palettes to make sure that we are visually on the same page.

Once I begin working on your painting I can send you email updates as I move forward with completing your artwork.

It’s that simple! Let me know if you have any questions at all about the process or if you’d like to work more closely together on developing an idea for your customized art. I’d be more than happy to chat with you and help you along the way.
