In My Sketchbook: March 8, 2016

Positano in Progress by Melanie Biehle, March 2016 | patterns, illustration, fine art, drawing

I rarely just watch TV. Ever since #The100DayProject I’ve had my sketchbook in my lap, working out color palettes and pattern designs while watching Girls (even though Marnie annoys me to no end). Or Suits, The 100, or The Grinder. Or Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, still – my relationship with that show lasted longer than my first marriage, so I’m all in until the end.

Some of the experiments I’m working on now are for an upcoming art show – more on that later. Others are ideas for prints and patterns to license. Some, like that fancy lady below, are just for kicks.
