Seeking Solace: A New Collection of Paintings

Collage introducing the Seeking Solace abstract painting collection in a neutral, limestone interior setting.

When I began working on Seeking Solace at the end of last summer, I was thinking about the contrasts in my own work — learning how to fully embrace that I thrive in the duality of creating both fluid abstract landscapes and structured architectural compositions. But as the world shifted in the months that followed, the meaning expanded. Seeking Solace became not just about artistic duality, but about how we can hold on to beauty in the midst of uncertainty.

THE INSPIRATION

The textures and palettes in these paintings draw from places that have left their imprint on me: the rooftops of Paris, the golden warmth of Siena, the rich greens of the Pacific Northwest, and the modern edges of Los Angeles. Each piece held by a memory, with experience translated into form and surface. These landscapes, both real and remembered, will forever shape the way that I see and create.

Where the Map Fades
Sale Price: $1,680.00 Original Price: $2,400.00

Where the Map Fades reflects the quiet magic of wandering — those moments when turning down an unfamiliar street reveals something unexpected, and getting lost becomes an invitation rather than a frustration.

Warm neutrals, muted greens, and deeper forest tones layer together to capture that in-between space where the familiar gives way to the unknown. The composition evokes travel, memory, and discovery shaped by chance and held over time.

Where the Map Fades is part of the 2025 Seeking Solace collection. This series explores contrast — softness and structure, movement and stillness — and the way beauty and uncertainty can coexist. Inspired by places and moments serene at their core, Seeking Solace embraces both the organic and the architectural, offering a quiet refuge through art.

The Garden of Memory
Sale Price: $1,680.00 Original Price: $2,400.00

Certain places stay with us — not just in images, but in feeling. When I painted The Garden of Memory I was taken back to the quiet comfort of succulent gardens I wandered through in Southern California and the South of France. I remembered these moments where time seemed to slow and the warmth of the sun and lush greens created a space for reflection.

In times of uncertainty, memory can be an anchor, offering solace in the landscapes we carry within us. With layered tones of green and soft neutrals, this piece is a meditation on how connecting to nature and the memories it provides can bring us back to ourselves.

Trace
Sale Price: $1,820.00 Original Price: $2,600.00

Trace is a meditation on the quiet imprints left behind — by light on weathered walls, by time on familiar spaces, by memories that linger long after a place is left. Muted greens and warm neutrals form a composition that balances structure with softness, evoking the comfort of what endures. Layers of texture suggest stories beneath the surface, offering a sense of calm connection to echoes of the past.
