Collaborations stretch my creativity in such great, unexpected ways. Casa White No. 1 is the last remaining original painting of the 2024 Monochromatic Collection with Seattle’s Casa di LaValle.
Artist’s Statement:
When Cassandra and I first discussed the 2024 Monochromatic Collection I was a bit apprehensive. While the style referenced some of my earlier geometric cityscape work, I had never attempted to do an entire series where the color palette was the primary subject — especially in monochromatic hues.
I started working on the collection right before I left for France. While I was there I honed in on the colors we had chosen for the six-painting series — deep green, yellow ochre, rich blues, and neutrals — and returned with plenty of inspiring images to help complete our collaboration.
I love the richness and depth of this creative exploration of color.
Framed in natural Chilean pine wood, this painting is ready to hang with pre-installed hardware. The frame can easily be stained or removed for customization to fit your decor preferences.
